Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner Review

When you cross that defining age of 25, there are many things you outgrow and many things you learn to appreciate more. While the thought of a fruity dessert made me go eww earlier, i can hardly resist a blueberry cheesecake now !! While i used to be obsessed with 90210 and Gossip Girl, im more of a Suits or Game of Thrones girl now (Pretty Little Liars is an exception). Yup, iv outgrown headbands, iv outgrown annoying people, iv outgrown my patience levels (theyv dropped to minus 130) , iv outgrown faded jeans and iv outgrown glossy eyeliners ! I just want that soft matte black eyeliner that blends in naturally with my face not goes ‘Look at me  people. Im eyeliner- Iv arrived !’

And when you go matte, what better way to go matte  than the iconic Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner? Bobbi’s best selling product and one im addicted to . Its buttery soft, dark as the night, smooth and blendable, and applies like a total dream…. the best thing of all- it lasts the entire work day for me. Im talking 10 hours plus !!

What Bobbi Brown says about the Long Wear gel eye-liner :

This award-winning liner gives you the look of liquid liner with the ease & feel of a gel formula. Long-wearing, water-resistant color glides on & let’s you get it just right before it dries – then stays without a smear or crease. Awarded ‘Best of Beauty’ by ‘Allure’ Magazine (2011). Awarded best liquid liner by ‘The Knot’Magazine(2010).

The Long wear Gel eyeliner by Bobbi Brown, delivers everything you need in one sharp, swift stroke and the Bobbi brown brush perfectly complements it ! In comparison to Mac’s Blacktrack Fluidline,  this is a tad bit lesser pigmented-but just a tad bit ..though if you are someone who can tell the difference in 50 shades of black then go with Mac as that is blacker . If however you want an eyeliner that will last throughout the day and not dry in the pot as quickly as Mac Fluidlines do then pick Bobbi. In terms of texture- its difficult to really explain the difference- i find this more buttery and softer but i think thats a personal opinion- you probably wont be able to tell the difference between the two!

Verdict: A+

Price: Rs 1550/-

Recommendation: Pigmented, Buttery Soft, and lasts for over ten hours- its everything you want a gel eyeliner to be ! Comparisons with Mac Blacktrack are obvious, they are both super similar. Mac is more pigmented, Bobbi Brown is smoother and longer lasting- its a personal choice as to which one you prefer !
