One of the hardest questions for me to answer is when people ask me “So what do you do, what is your profession?” Now my role is not classified into marketing, finance or HR. What i do is build econometric regression models to predict the risk of credit default by customers of the financial institution that i work for. See how that sounds? Mostly that answer is met with a blank gaze and an ‘Oh ok’…so as to say ‘ I don’t know what sort of wierd stuff you do lady, but i am going to pretend i know so that i don’t look dumb’ . I cant really blame them. Even my mom doesn’t understand what i do!
Anyway, my makeup to work does not usually have any eyehadow involved. Its black/colored liner, tinted moisturizer and lipstick at the max. But if you are venturing into the world of work eye makeup, this basic look might ‘work for you. Ha . I love lame puns.
I am using the following :
Shade 1: Organza from Sleek Oh So Special Palette
Shade 2: Boxed from Sleek Oh So Special Palette
Shade 3: Gift Basket from Sleek Oh So Special Palette
Brush: Nyx B14 shading brush
Clinique Quick liner for eyes
Step 1: Apply a peachy shade like Organza all over your lid
Step 2: Take a matte brown and make a ‘<’ sign on the outer corner. I am using the color ‘Boxed’
Step 3: Blend the brown softly. Your strokes here should be short and quick. Kind of like scribbling on a pad
Step 4: Now i am taking a shimmery bronzey brown and just putting a line all across my crease , extending to the inner corner. Blend softly in wiper motions
Step 5: Take a black eye pencil and draw a thin line over your entire eye lid. On the bottom lash line, apply the same shimmery bronzey color below, and put a little of the black pencil on the outer end.
